GHPCO Annual Forum

GHPCO and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta have partnered again this year to present our pediatric hospice and palliative care forum featuring Lisa Catherine Lindley, PhD, RN, FPCN, FAAN. Dr. Lindley is an Associate Professor and Nightingale Endowed Faculty Fellow in the College of Nursing at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and a child health services and policy researcher. Her research focuses on health care systems and policy interventions that promote quality, accessible care for children and their families at end of life. Dr. Lindley has expertise in advanced statistical techniques, data management, and claims-based data. https://www.ghpco.org/

GHPCO and CHOA invite you to join Dr. Lindley as she shares a vision for the future of concurrent care for children in Georgia and regionally. She will look at the data nationally, compare Georgia strengths and weaknesses and share hospice models from other states around the country that have been successfully implemented to meet the needs of the pediatric patients and the healthcare systems.

Objectives:

  • Navigating concurrent care in Georgia to include med review, home nursing documentation and how to not duplicate
  • Determining how to have Goals of Care conversation in real time with families.
  • Scope of Practice and community support review
  • Identify roles and consider how to engage resources to help
