New York Concurrent Care

In January 2011, the New York Medicaid Program issued an update which included a section entitled, “Hospice Care for Children in Medicaid, Family Health Plus and Child Health Plus.” This indicated that effective March 23, 2010, New York State Medicaid would cover all medically necessary curative services for children under 21 who are also receiving hospice care. This was also made applicable to Medicaid managed care, Family Health Plus (FHPlus) and Child Health Plus (CHPlus) with the purpose that recipients could benefit from a blended package of care. The 2011 update can be found at this link. The 2013 update is at this link.
