In January 2013, the Arkansas Department of Human Services and Division of Medical Services sent a provider update transmittal, which informed hospice care providers that sections 210.100 and 214.000 had been updated to comply with the federal mandate that individuals under the age of 21 receive treatment for their terminal illness in addition to qualifying for Medicaid-reimbursed hospice. The transmittal included the updated forms of 210.100 and 214.000, as well as an attachment addressing the amount, duration, and scope of medical and remedial care and services provided to the categorically needy.
