South Dakota Concurrent Care

Last updated: May 2024

Concurrent Care Announcements

In July 2015, the state of South Dakota published an updated Hospice Provider Billing Manual. On page 16 of the manual which addresses limits to covered services, there is one sentence which states, “Individuals under age 21 may receive hospice services without forgoing any other service to which the child is entitled under Medicaid for the terminal condition.” This is the only sentence which addresses concurrent care for children. This can be found on page 16 of the manual, which may be accessed at this link and at 2015_SouthDakota.
