The Concurrent Care for Children Requirement (CCCR) passed on a federal level March 23, 2010. However, for this requirement to be practically carried out in each state it was essential for each state to pass their own legislature and infor Medicaid and CHIP providers of this change.
Our team worked to establish when each state did this by collecting a variety of documents including:
- State Medicaid letters/updates to hospice providers
- Policy Transmittal letters
- Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Information Bulletins
- Letters from the Department of Human Services
- Public Acts
- Social Services bulletins to providers
- Letters from Social Services
- Letters from the Department of Health Care Services
- Letters from the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene
- Letters from the Department of Health and Human Services
- Health Authority announcements
- Proposed Rules
- Provider Manuals
- Public Notices
- News Articles
- Archived State Legislation
In collecting these documents we came to understand just how complex and varied each state’s approach was in altering their state legislature to include Concurrent Care and disseminating that information to the public and providers that they had done so.
On this site, each state has been given its own dedicated post, detailing the specifics of when and how their legislature had been changed, and links are provided to each of the aforementioned documents. By going to the Legislative Resources tab you can also access our interactive map, which is a greater visual representation comparing implementation by state and year.
