Nebraska Concurrent Care

MEDICAID HOSPICE BENEFIT

Other documents

In September 2011, the State of Nebraska sent a letter to James G. Scott, the then Associate Regional Administrator for Medicaid and Children’s Health Operations for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, which included a transmittal and notice of approval of state plan material. The enclosed forms indicated that Nebraska’s hospice care would be provided in accordance with section 2302 of the Affordable Care Act, which allows individuals under 21 to elect for hospice services and receive curative treatment for their terminal illness concurrently. This change, referred to as TN No. NE 11-14 would supersede TN No. 11-10.
