Concurrent Care Announcements

In June 2011, the State of North Carolina amended the NC Division of Medical Assistance Hospice Services policy manual by adding section 5.11 Concurrent Care for Children. This section mandated that Medicaid beneficiaries under 21 years of age, and NCHC beneficiaries between the ages of 6-18 would offer hospice services without requiring the waiver of any rights of the child to be provided with or to have payment made for services related to the cure or treatment of the child’s condition. This section can be found on page 14 of the manual at this link and at 2011_NorthCarolina.
