Hawaii Concurrent Care

In December 2010, Hawaii’s Med-Quest Division (MQD) which provides eligible low-income adults and children with access to health and medical coverage issued a memo indicating that effective January 1, 2011 hospice services would be made available to children in the QUEST and QExA programs without the need to forego other services, including treatment. The memo also expressed that the implementation of this provision was vitally important to both children and families seeking curative and palliative care. The memo can be accessed at the Quest Hawai’i using the following link under the ACS Memos-2010 tab and is listed as ACS M10-18.
