Mississippi Concurrent Care

In January of 2011, the state of Mississippi Division of Medicaid made a change to their Provider Policy manual, which stated that according to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2009 for Hospice, children under 21 may receive hospice benefits without foregoing curative treatment entitled under Medicaid. This subsection entitled, “Exceptions for Children Under the Age of 21,” is brief, one sentence out of 35 pages, and can be found on page 2 at this link.
